Committee to review security of VIPs

The Jammu and Kashmir Government ordered the formation of a three-member committee to review the security of protected persons in the state. The committee will be headed by Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Security.

Amul awarded marketer of year

Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (GCMMF), the marketers of the popular Amul brand of milk and dairy products, was awarded the ‘Marketer of the Year’ award by the International Advertising Association of India (IAAI).

DMK chief, Muthuvel Karunanidhi, passes away at 94. He was made Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for the first time in 1969.

India women win Blitz gold

The Indian women chess team at the Asian Nations Cup 2018 clinched the gold in the Blitz event held in Iran. It’s India’s first gold-medal finish at the event since 2014. They also won silver and bronze in the Rapid and Classical categories, respectively. The tournament began in the Iranian city of Hamadan.

Nikhil Nanda appointed as Chairman & MD of Escort

Farm and construction equipment maker Escorts appointed Nikhil Nanda as the chairman and managing director (MD) of the company. He succeeded his father Rajan Nanda who passed away earlier this week after a brief illness.
